Conclusion, one Fine Slaying Pentant- you can only use one at a time - is marginally better than 4 Fine Pounding Pentants. This test only uses the base Combo VIII skill as a base line test. Your mileage and damage numbers may vary. Note that to gain the benefit of the Slaying crystal you must be 50% health of lower. Based on this requirement, and that Fine Pounding Crystals are so close to the performance of Slaying Crystals, I don't see the benefit of using Slaying Crystals.
