TerryByte - The Full 2nd Season
25a.k.a The 'Crunch Era". 6th May 2015 - 25th October 2015
The second half of the first year of doing Youtube videos, I doubled down hard on content creation. I call this the crunch era because I produced a video every one or two weeks, ranging from lower effort mini reviews and skits, to the main "TerryByte" show videos I enjoyed making (this video only has the main videos). My world was just Youtube, it was all I thought about at home. I ignored studies, I did less skateboarding, all I did was script and make videos, play some games and go to the gym. Was I miserable about it? Not in the slightest. At the time I felt like there was momentum on the channel and I had to act upon it.
Obviously, while things didn't pan out that way in terms of Youtube 'success', its easy to take for granted the skills and experiences you make on the way. Looking back on this season, I'm reminded of planning dumb skits with my friends, the late night scripting or editing and seeing a full video come into fruition. Once again, no regrets. (Don't ignore studies though lol)
Another small fact, this was the season where I first used Adobe Premiere and ditched my Macbook for a Surface Pro 2 laptop. It was a new learning experience, but overall, I prefer it far more than Final Cut Pro X.
