I still remember the days of all the rumors of the Model 3 having a HUD. Fun times. Although I personally love the simplicity of the Model 3, I know a lot of people love the idea of having a heads up display. This one is super simple and best of all free (or at least the base version). You simply load the app, place it on your dash and the results will be projected on the windshield. This free android app has a ton of customization options.

Something important to note; you may want to get a rubber mat or something to make your phone not slide around if using. They sell these mats very cheaply on Amazon. I have personally only tested in the dark and it is super clear. Really no different than looking at my center screen. I am not sure how well it works with bright sun though. This problem would exist on the stats app version as well. What are your thoughts on a HUD? Useful or is it something you will pass on?
