Teslagrad 2 Speedrun - 43:44 (any%, 0 Jumps)
A very sloppy speedrun of Teslagrad 2 any% with no jumps. This was more for a proof of concept than anything. We only very recently managed to theorycraft enough to make this route possible. It took a lot of effort from the whole T2 speedrunning community, including MetalfoxDioxymore, MagicJadron, Lusther, BoursinBurger, and plenty of others finding random bugs and glitches to make this possible.
The previous route (1 jump) made use of a bunch of small terrain tricks to climb ledges and cross gaps, but there was still one room at the start of the viking tower where we couldn't get Lumina through without a jump. We tried so many different things to make it work, including clipping through walls, abusing momentum and/or magnetism, bugging out the light blocks, and even smuggling two magnet blocks from the mountain on the left side all the way over.
In the end, it was a totally separate any% route that saved the day. It snuck a magnet block past the huldr fight and used it to break the wall blocking the omniblink time trial room. From there, it was another almost 2 months of testing strategies to make it possible to do without jumping, but yesterday, the final piece was found and we were able to pick up omniblink early without jumping.
From here, the route is pretty similar to any%, though we do stop and fight the moose to grab powerslide boots. With omniblink, a lot of the small ledges and little gaps that used to cause problems are just complete non-issues now, so the back half of the run is actually quite a bit easier than the old 1 jump route. Frankly, I think it's fair considering how hard the first half has become.
