Sadly I haven't had much time to work on the project recently so there's nothing much new to show. However, I did buy a Turing-based nVidia RTX 2080 Ti and wanted to see how the path tracer performed on that GPU... and it performs fairly well.

At this point I do NOT use any of the new features introduced with the RTX GPU - i.e. this demo is currently, "RTX Off!" I'm hoping to experiment with the RTX and Tensor cores in the future when I have more time.

The path tracer runs at 1080p in real time on the GPU using CUDA, with OpenGL used to provide the progressive display updates (CUDA / OpenGL interop).

+ Hardware and Software Used

Written in CUDA / C++ (Visual Studio) and running on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).
GPU - nVidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti (Palit Pro Gaming OC, modified)
CPU - Intel i9-7900X (10c/20t)
