Tetris+Roguelike?! - TheMidcoreGamer Plays Loot River - Part 1(No Commentary Gameplay)
I can't say that I'm a fan - the controls simply feel awkward to me, and the combat feels more "soulslike" than "action roguelike". The Tetris part is quite interesting at first as well, especially once you reached The First City where getting the right pieces arranged in the right manner really matters, but after a few runs, the novelty of it all quickly wore down.
Deaths are very punishing in this game, making meaningful progression quite a chore. You could go through multiple runs without much to show for it - I even lost Knowledge points after a run, which sucks. And for a game called "Loot River", the game surprisingly contains very little loot sometimes.
