Note: Games-Survival is an old link I am not associated with anymore. I have no clue who uses it for the last year or so.

Texsport hammock and mosquitohammock camo rainfly after a major rainstorm at the homefront.

My scaled weight of hammock with stuff sack, paracord etc is 3lbs. 9 oz.

rainfly with sack weighs in at 1lb 1 oz

You don't have to break the bank to get gear and go out camping. Always remember : Grandma Gatewood

Grandma Gatewood began hiking in her late 60's. Emma Rowena "GG" twice thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, completing the well over 2000 mile walk in 4 1/2 months. She sectioned hike the AT a third time.

Grandma Gatewood reportedly did not care for fancy gear, or much weight either. She carried a rain cape (poncho) for protection and ground cover, plastic shower curtain for shelter, an army blanket for sleeping, and food (Vienna sausages and wild onions) in a homemade bag draped over one shoulder. All this while wearing inexpensive canvas "Keds" sneakers.

Note: I would not suggest this hammock to people 6 foot or over, nor large (wide) boned campers.
