The model had wrong texture names, with spaces was first thing i saw. all the textures that uses UV maps where not right. UVs did not match the jigsaw puzzle that are the UVS. think lining up but in the wrong place. a pain in the ass to fix manually by hand report this model from Maya if that was where it came from. But before I get too in explain this you can not use animated DAE meshes with armatures or without as a flexbody DAE. You menationed with all the grief you had with the texture can you simply explort A car that has a jbeam as a prop or something so it will load texture right everywhere. In all honesty friend, this thing to be animated should say a static mesh DAE. The collisions do not move, but the thing will use the armature animation. armatures and the way they animate has no way to convert into the Mass balls that are the nodes and have physics. Even if the collision mesh could move with the object the only way the game could handle the fake physics is to redraw the collision mesh every single millisec. and It takes a good 2 sec sometimes now to rebuild collisions one time for statics. I get it it would be so easy to make cool stuff like some more simpler physics based games but as the physics work not it would have to keep redrawn colmesh every millisec and it would not physically move in the way the physics work now but instead have to teleport every single time it draws. I Super slow motion imagine something redrawing every from and game updating that as a solid object. Having an object does use the physics would still hit it but only after it redraws and it will redraw incasing that car like the ship hull did to those sailors during the phillidelphia experiment. Back when the tried to make true invisibility using crazy amounts of magnets, electricity coils. Long story short the Boat apparently time traveled and spawned some else entirely, came back but the sailors where fused to the hull. In the steel and more less are all dead men with no chance to get out. That is the story, did it happen, who knows. But that would be the case with animated colmesh if you could do it.
so animations of him crouching and bobbing around would not work. You can animate a texture on a moving flex body however. I completely get the frustration and happy you have not kicked the computer screen yet. You did right thing to ask, or you would have possibly chasing that bug until late the next day.
