6Strider II released in 1990 by U.S is a sequel to the acclaimed Strider arcade.
Stride your way through five levels armed with your trusty sabre and an addition of a hand blaster and the ability to transform into a mechanised attack vehicle.
It's great to see US Gold adapting colour throughout the game, especially considering the overuse of monochrome in their other titles around this time period.
Game-play feels frustrating due to sticky controls that hamper its execution, but carries the legacy of its predecessor well.
This is a boldly underrated sequel.
