[TF2] FULL COLOR DECALS TUTORIAL IN 2022
643Today’s tf2 tutorial is on how to get full color decals. The process is not difficult and in this tutorial I tried to make it as simple and fast as possible. The biggest thing about getting full color decals is making sure the fine details like the image name and dimensions are correct. This tutorial goes over the entire process of getting a full color sign or any other item such as a full color Flair, Clan Pride, and Photo Badge.

To get full color other picture based items simply change the name of the image you wish to put on it (following the same guidelines as the Conscientious Objector like the file destination and the dimensions) simply change the name to the following:
Flair: flair_template_guide (png)
Clan Pride: Clan_Pride_Overlay (png)
Photo Badge: Photo_Badge_Overlay (png)

If you would like to be absolutely sure that everything is correct, you can locate the image and right click and go all the way done to “properties” and go over to details and see if the image is actually 128 pixels by 128 pixels

A lot of the other full color decal tool tutorials I have seen on youtube are far too long or just old and needed some sort of updated version. Fully colored decal signs are a lot of fun to play around with, so I would recommend you save this video to your watch later so you can easily come back and remind yourself about the mildly complicated hoops that TF2 makes you jump trough in order to get fully colored decals. Hopefully Team Fortress 2 will
be updated soon and little quality of life things like this will be taken into account and fixed. I would love for there to be no need for a tutorial on how to get full colored decals in TF2 but for some reason I doubt that will ever happen.
