Team Fortress 2 has long been one of my favorite games, even all the way back when I was 13. TF2 has changed my life for the better and I love how even when I want to leave it, it grabs me and keeps me invested. Recently, due to the community outrage about the lack of updates for the past few years with #savetf2 the game was recently updated. This was not my first account, I have been playing TF2 for quite awhile but on a different account that I cannot remember the password to so I had to make another account. On the other account I was premium but I had to beg my parents to allow me to spend some money to buy some crates in TF2 and unbox. I always loved the process of upgrading to premium as the way TF2 allows you to play for free and play for as long as you like for as much as you like is amazing, and it makes it even better that you can spend a few bucks and be able to enjoy the benefits of playing tf2 such as trading, crafting, voice and chat chat, rare item drops, and even more backpack space which is arguably the most important benefit to upgrading to premium in TF2. Today, to celebrate me reaching such a massive milestone of 1,000 subscribers, I will be giving out a free upgrade to premium gift, just like, subscribe, and comment! I will be checking!

Q: how much do you have to spend to get that premium account?
A: Buy whatever you want from the tf2 mann co. store, any purchase no matter how small will activate your premium account. However, Steam’s minimum amount to add to an account is $5 usd, so to upgrade to premium it does technically cost $5 but you do not have to spend the whole $5 on TF2.

Q: How do I see if I have premium or not?
A: Go to your Steam, then the Library tab, right click the game, then click on “Properties”. Next, go to the DLC tab and look for “Team Fortress 2 - Premium DLC”.
Q: What should I buy from the Mann Co. Store?
A: All depends on you. You could spend the full $5 on TF2, and in that case, I would recommend that you buy 2 Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys, as that is the most widely accepted currency in the community and will allow you to get a head start on trading. Or you could buy the cheapest item you can find off the mann co. Store and save the rest of the money for whatever you like. Remember, buying items off the Steam Community Store does not apply to the Premium DLC. Also keep in mind to stay away from any items off the Mann Co Store besides Crate Keys. All other items can be found for a far cheaper price than they are found in the store.
