or try and follow this:

(make sure damage text is enabled in advanced options)

Inside your custom folder (program files / Steam / steamapps / common / Team Fortress 2 / tf / custom) create a folder called bigdamagennumbers.

Inside that create a folder called 'resource' inside that 'ui'.

Inside 'ui' create a text file called 'huddamageaccount'.

In that text file paste the following:

"Resource/UI/HudDamageAccount.res"

In the 'bigdamagaenumbers' folder we talked about earlier I also have another text file called 'info'. In this I have the text:

How do you make your gun/HUD small?
Tick 'enable minimal HUD' & 'Use minimized viewmodels' which are found in 'Advanced Options'
