Hey there! Welcome to the first of three final TF2 videos on this channel. Today we're gonna be talking about the offense classes and how I've learned to play them over the years. Nothing too fancy, just a quick rant on what makes a class count as "offense" followed by some testimony and a little bit of storytelling. Hope y'all enjoy the ride!

While I'm here, lemme pose a question I wanted to talk about for a little bit: "Why even make these videos?" Well, two reasons. Firstly, I've been planning on stepping out of TF2 for quite some time now and I wanted to do a few things before that happened. I wanted to make a video venting all my complaints about the game ("TF2 Will Die of a Broken Heart"), I wanted to finish the Fashion Fortress video (which has finally been done), and I wanted to give an experience testimonial as to how I've learned to play the game and what each class means to me. Sort of a bootleg of LazyPurple's "How it Feels" series, just much shorter because I'll never be anywhere close to as good at editing as he is. :)
So why "Class Categories?" Well, one of the questions that's always bugged me with regards to TF2's design philosophy is "why are the classes where they are?" Like Demo's pretty commonly perceived as the strongest pushing class in comp play, pyro's sometimes treated as a defense class, etc. So I wanted to combine the two desires--to answer the question of design intent and to talk about my experience playing the game--and take out two birds with one stone. Just felt like a fun way to do it is all. Hope y'all enjoy the mini-trilogy, and thanks for hearing me out. :D

Oh, bonus clip at the end of the video, btw. Just thought you'd want to know. Thanks again for being here.

Hey, thanks for watching my video. Your viewing support means a lot to me. There used to be a message here explaining that the purpose of this channel was a YouTube race between me and one of my friends, but I roundly trounced him (in yer face Spencer) so I can't put that here anymore. So uhh... I guess I just make YouTube videos for YouTube's sake now. Enjoy lmao
