The adrenal cortex is derived from the mesoderm of the embryo. It is subdivided into three zones, viz. ' \( P \) ' ' \( Q \) ' and ' \( R \) '. 'P' is the outer zone and secrete hormones called mineralocorticoids that affect mineral homeostasis. ' \( Q \) ' is the widest of the three zone and secretes glucocorticoids that affect glucose homeostasis. 'R' is the inner zone which secretes gonadocorticoids. The cells of middle and inner zone contains ascorbic acid.
Which layer of adrenal cortex contains vitamin \( \mathrm{C} \) ?
(A) \( P \)
(B) \( Q \)
(C) R
