This video was supposed to be done ahead of the game's release, but I accidentally spent so much time playing it I forgot to make content about it. Oops! This video is based primarily on the early sections of the game, and I just might come back with another video once I've seen all the game has to offer if there's more to talk about. Do bother me about it in the comments if you think I may have forgotten :)
Sekiro is, so far, really really good, and part of what has made it so good is the approach FromSoft took to the game's visuals and aesthetics, not only in its use of colors, lighting and textures, but in the underlying aesthetic considerations informing its environment and character design.
So let's talk about that for a bit! And since the comparison is inevitable anyway: hold it up against its Soulsborne siblings to see how it stacks up, and what it does different.
