The car in question is the Auto Union Type D. It is said that the car was created by Dr Ferdinand Porsche, the same guy behind Porsche. The car was created back in 1939. At the time, the Auto Union enjoyed a lot of success, especially when the company was backed by the Third Reich. Now obviously the Auto Union couldn't produce anymore cars due to the war. When the Soviets arrived, they took the cars that were there as spoils of war. So this meant that they took, them and stripped them down. The sad thing is that there sure weren't that many left of the technological marvels. Especially when they had some extreme oversteering issues.

So what happened to the Auto Union company? They eventually just became Audi, although Audi already existed before the merger back in 1929 with 3 other companies. They also had to relocate from East Germany and being based in West Germany.

Why did I pick Rio? It's a fun circuit, no actual proper reason.
