Criterion has proved in the past that they can make a beautiful world. Many people don't care about how well a map is made in a racing game but when you make an open world racing game you have to put your best talents in creating a beautiful and dynamic world in my opinion. A good map in an open world racing game can make or break the whole game.
Also it's kinda insane that this game came out pretty much rushed, i used to hate this game but playing it now older i understand why many people love it.
So far, in the beggining i didn't trust Criterion but after replaying some older games and seeing the teasers for Need for Speed Unbound i believe we will get something good.
