The Beginning of a New Case: Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys Part 1
A playthrough of the first part of Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys. After more than 4 years since the release of Midnight in Salem, the next Nancy Drew game is here! That said, there are some things I like about the game, but other things that can be improved. To begin with, the graphics and character animations are a huge improvement from Midnight in Salem. I also love the setting of Prague and that there is a choice between classic point-and-click or free-roam movement. I opted for point-and-click, and that is where I ran into problems. I find the movement a bit clunky because you have to be in the right position to see a specific object or to exit an area. Also, in the beginning, you have to find a postcard and a pen. I found both items, but I could not figure out how to use the pen on the postcard. It turns out I had to find the Wi-Fi password first to learn how to use the pen and postcard together. Lastly, I HATE the latte art. When I first learned that latte art was going to be in the game, I was excited. However, with the latte art, you have to be pretty much pixel-perfect. If you go outside of the line just a little bit, you have to restart. I struggled so much and had to cut a lot out of the video. That said, I am looking forward to playing more of the game, and hopefully, there will be no more latte art!
