The main reason, you want downpipes is to allow your exhaust gasses to flow better, so you would think “the bigger the better” right?
While size does matter, going bigger can cause issues with rubbing and can lead to further damage. You shouldn’t go with more than a 6 inch downpipe, that tapers down to 3-4 inches to match the exhaust that you have on your car.
