16The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq6 long range is one of the most practical electric vehicles you can buy, with incredible range and recharge speed for the price. The Ioniq6 in this trim goes nearly 400 miles on a full charge, up to 382 miles in good temperatures with no air/con. Obviously, that's not always realistic, but we saw more than 350 miles driving normally and running the A/C as we pleased. The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq6 recharges quickly, too, able to pull 80% of its capacity from only 10% in about fifteen minutes. Of course, as many non Tesla EVs find out, charger reliability is somewhat suspect, and we had a few less than convenient moments during the week. But the Hyundai Ioniq6 has such prodigious range that we never worried about it. We rarely dropped below 150 miles of indicated range (in fact we only dropped below 200 miles one time all week). The Hyundai Ioniq6 certainly isn't styled for everyone, but compared to the Tesla Model Y and Tesla Model 3, it's not bad looking. It's at least interesting, and the Hyundai Ioniq6 goes farther than both the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y in long range trim. With some Hyundai dealers matching federal incentives, picking up a Hyundai Ioniq6 for less than $40k with the capability to travel nearly 400 miles is pretty incredible. The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq6 didn't win Megan over to a full EV lifestyle, but it certainly gave her the confidence to trust the range without having to worry about the charging infrastructure.
