As the PS1 era was coming to an end and Ps2 was getting ready to launch Square decided to announce a few times for release soon after the PlayStation 2 was released. One of these games was The Bouncer, hidden in mystery it was thought to be a sequel but later discovered it wasn't, while also trying to recover from promises it failed to live up to.

The Bouncer was Squares first PlayStation 2 title. A beat 'em up game with lite RPG elements and a ton of loading screens. It was met with mixed reviews due to its short story line, gimmicky controls and awful sometimes hilarious dialog. At the time this was not something you would expect from the developers at Square. Any other developer and I think the game would have had better success because it would have had such a high standard to live up to.

At times the game can be super fun and enjoyable, but it doesn't take long for the controls, targeting and dialog to wear on you. Today we are taking a spin through the Sion story line. This is a no commentary playthrough and features all cutscenes and battle scenes. I have cut out loading screens and save screen to help make the game flow better.
