Manao Kagawa was born in 1993 and is from Chofu City in Tokyo. She learned shogi at the age of 9. Three years later, she became the youngest player to win the "Women's Amateur Meijin" championship in the tournament’s history, making her the top player of amateur women’s shogi in Japan. She made her professional debut at the age of 15. At the age of 20, she won the title of "Women's Ōshō" and successfully defended it the following year. Amongst her awards, she has also received annual awards for both “Most Women’s Shogi Matches Played” and “Best Women’s Professional Shogi Player”. Today, she is active not only as a women’s professional shogi player, but also in spheres that align with her personal hobbies and interests, such as video games and movies, and as a YouTuber with 185,000 subscribers.
The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story is a new unique mystery-adventure game. Directed by Koichiro Ito, and with Yasuhito Tachibana as the Cinematographer and Scenario Director, beautiful yet thrilling live-action footage intertwines with mysteries to solve, creating highly immersive gameplay.
