This is part one of the ENTIRETY of Splatoon's lore! This took a TON of research. There is also probably some errors so you can let me know if you see some errors. Oh yeah! By the way, I made up some of the stuff in this video for convenience of storytelling and as theories. Here, let me list everything I made up:
-I don't know who the enemies or the allies are in World War five
-It never says anywhere how long humans survived but I'll give em like 3 generations at most
-I got this theory from Gnoggin. Although it is never stated, I do believe that the reason marine life left the ocean was because it was becoming acidic from Carbon Dioxide.
-It doesn't say how much Inklings are composed of Ink but I imagine it's quite high
-I also don't think it's officially stated that Inklings have thin skin but I imagine they do
-Another thing about Inkling anatomy! They would have to have some sort of skeletal structure but it is officially said in a sunken scroll that they don't have bones, so they next best thing is cartilage.
-I say that the Great Zapfish can power a city as large as Tokyo because Inkopolis is based off of Tokyo
-It is unclear who the other two Inkling in the SquidBeak Splatoon are during the Great Turfwar but I think it's a safe guess that they are the children of Captain Cuttlefish and by extension, the Mother and Father of Callie and Marie
-I don't know that Pearl got kicked out of the Singing contest, but I also know she didn't win
-I don't know Callie an Marie's last names but they are the Grandchildren of Captain Cuttlefish so that would make them a Cuttlefish
-It isn't stated how much of a following the Squid Sisters had at 15 but I imagine it was quite high
-I know that Agent 3's gender is whatever you want it to be but I would rather not use gender neutral terms every time I need to say somethin about them so I'm just saying their a girl since that is what gender is most commonly used in promotional stuff
-I know Octavio didn't kidnap Captain Cuttlefish while 3 was on lunch break but I thought it was funny
