[The Count] Random Party Final Fantasy (NES) {Part 1}
Continuing to work on through the NES Classic Edition library. We're almost done! Next up, we'll be playing the original Final Fantasy for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Now, I know most people praise this first entry, but I promise you: Those people are talking about the countless remakes, ports, and remasters that came later on. The original? It's pretty janky, to put it politely. 8-bit JRPGs overall were pretty rough, and it took some serious innovation before the true classice started to get made, mostly in the 16 and 32-bit generations. All the same though, there is a lot to appreciate here, and I'm excited to take another look at this and demo it off for you! Just a heads up though, this probably won't be a full playthrough, since as with Zelda 2, a full playthrough is borderline nightmarish, even if the game itself is worth a brief revisit. I'll try to do at least 6 hours before calling it quits though. One thing that we'll do to mix things up on this playthrough, is we'll use my tried and true random number generation to get a random party. I think it should make it a bit more fun, eh? So, wish me luck, and let's go!
