We are officially doing a full playthrough of this game! I'm enjoying it way more than I ever thought I would, clunk and all. This is the original FF1 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This is once again a run where I rolled a random party and got 2 red mages and 2 black belts (which is actually a pretty good party mix, especially as the black belts are starting to come into their own). So last time we got all that we could with the mystic key, found some TNT in Corneria Castle, gave it to the Dwarves to open the canal, got access to the outer ocean, got to Melmond (which is currently being plagued by vampires), heard about a legendary sage named Sarda who lives beyond a cave guarded by a Titan who wants rubies, and began trekking into the Earth Cave to slay the vampire and hopefully find some rubies out of the deal. Anyway, wish me luck, and let's go!
