39This month's Season Pass Vehicle Drop in The Crew 2 introduces a new Touring Car and a boat, of which no one really cares about, so we'll focus on the Touring Car. The Audi RS3 LMS, which was the poster car for the season pass, is an official TCR racing machine alongside the Ford Focus, Honda Civic Type, Alfa Romeo Giulietta, and many others. With a 2.0-liter Turbo-4 mounted in the front instead of the bonkers 2.5-liter Turbo-5 from the standard car, and front-wheel drive instead of Quattro All-Wheel Drive, let's see if this German-bred Touring Car can take on TC2's entry-level Touring Cars of old (Mini Cooper, Mazda MX-5, Ford Focus RS, etc.).
Top Speed: Above Average
Acceleration: Below Average
Nitrous: Average
Cornering Speed: Average
Handling: A bit of Pro Settings tweaking does help fix the understeer felt initially with this car since it's FWD, but there's no denying that it's one of the reasons why you won't see this thing going up against the high ends anytime soon. Light and responsive yes, but it looses a lot of speed in the corners, and there's still a lot of excess wheelspin when you engage the nitrous. It still grips well in the corners though
Conclusion: I think the main problem here is the lack power. So far, the two touring cars we've driven all have maximum outputs of over 1000 horsepower. This car is just as light, if not, lighter than those two, but only makes due with 615 horsepower, which is still a lot of power, but not enough to make due on the straights. Plus, as mentioned earlier, there's still the business of the excess wheelspin when engaging the nitrous. Basically, it suffers the same dilemma that all street race FWD cars suffer in this game: just too much power and not enough grip in the front.
