Cornering Speed: Above Average
Handling: pretty agile for an old Muscle car. Tweaks to camber, anti-roll bars, and suspension will give it much better stability in the corners allowing it to grip round them better. There are times when the car will understeer due to body roll though. Also, brakes aren't that good either. You may need to re-time braking points in this car than you would in other cars.
Performance: the Firebird T/A had a big V8 engine...with not a lot of horsepower. The one in here at MAX has over 800 horsepower, but it still needs as bit more to keep up with the DeLorean and other speedy muscles like the Mustang Boss 429. Also, it has a 4-speed automatic, which sounds like a saving grace, but even in auto, there's no smooth transition. There's a lot of grainy shifting going on, which ends up being detrimental to the car's overall acceleration.
Conclusion: 2 seconds slower than the DMC-12, a couple of milliseconds slower than the BOSS 429.The Firebird T/A is definitely somewhat competitive. It just needs better acceleration and better braking to be an actual threat, like KITT was on 80s TV.
