My disappointment with the frustratingly empty story is at its peak.

During my continued struggle to scour for any remaining lore, end up returning to Gambler. They had finished the gift for Deadsuit, a Malformed Godseed that grants one final jump. This would have made it much easier to reach Charley's escape pod (plus that other godseed on a ledge above water).

I returned to Construct thinking there might be a change with some of the new items I had picked up, but nothing so far. I hopped in again, thinking the Hudson Goodshot might be able to damage Construct - it was, after all, the only gun in the melee weapon slot. I already was almost able to hit Construct with the painwheel.

After firing at Construct for quite some time with the Goodshot, I end up looking up whether anyone else had tried this. It turns out that Construct's health bar can empty out, but nothing else will change. I am so done by this point.

I finally was able to activate the event that's supposed to occur with the Pebble of Perspective. It's nice that there's finally another reason to shut down the suit, but this almost feels like the Power Bomb moment from Metroid: Other M.

I end up in The Cut Machine - the place that Relic mentioned. It turns out there's an alien scientist waiting inside, patiently operating the machine. It's apparently designed to hold a spirit in place so it can be divided. Jezicoe went through this process - one piece being stuck in the Muss-Gornah (the sun worm) and rending it from within, another becoming Construct, and yet another ending up as Saymund.

The Gornah wasn't quite killed, so it and Jezicoe(s) are in a stalemate - and the Roslock and others have been sent in retribution. Deadsuit on the other hand is suck as an outside observer.

Back to Construct once more to see if anything changes... but somehow there's still nothing new after the big plot reveal.

Overall, Ghost Song is baseline competent as interactive media, but the random bugs, lack of polish, the frustrating lack of story payoff or satisfyingly punctuated moments is nothing short of agonizing.
