The Death of Abby Choi
0A shocking murder in Hong Kong has occurred in Lung Mei Village, Tai Po. The victim of the murder is a 28-year-old famous model named Abby Choi Tin-fung, killed by the way her body was dismembered. Police are now investigating the case and have arrested three suspects.
Police sources say Choi, who appeared on the cover of fashion magazine L'officiel Monaco this month, lives in Kadoorie Hill in Ho Man Tin and has been missing since Tuesday (21 February).
The Choi was last seen on Fo Chun Street in Tai Po at around 14:15 p.m. on Tuesday. A woman of 1,55 meters tall and weighing about 40 kg was caught on camera wearing a white long-sleeved top, white trousers, white sandals and carrying a purple bag.
West Kowloon regional crime force took over the case yesterday (Thursday) and immediately began further investigation and suspect that Choi had been killed.
It is understood that officers finally found Choi's body in a flat in Lung Mei Village this afternoon but the body was found to be either intact or mutilated with parts of the body already cooked and cooked, most of it kept in the refrigerator.
Three men arrested on suspicion of murder including family members of Choi's ex-husband.
It was revealed that Choi previously married and had two children before marrying her current husband, who is the son of TamJai Yunnan Mixian's founder, TAM CHUK-KWAN, which is now owned by TORIDOLL Holdings Corporation in Japan and renamed to TamJai International, the operator of the popular restaurant chain in Hong Kong with 156 stalls across cities and mainland China, Singapore, Australia and Japan. The company recently launched an HK$1.4 billion (US$180 million) initiative to expand its restaurant chain in the region.
Although Choi has provided financial support to her ex-husband and family members, some of her relatives allegedly continue to extort money from her. An alleged motive behind his murder is related to a monetary dispute involving more than HK$100 million.
According to a neighbor, she heard a fierce argument between a young woman and a man at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday night, but could not distinguish the contents due to the loud noise. Meanwhile, police are also hunting for Choi's ex-husband who is suspected of being involved in the murder.
