The Desert of Thar & Mahabhalasura || Raji: An Ancient Epic (Part 4) || FINALE || Grimnir Plays
Grimnir back with Part 4, the concluding chapter of a new game, an indie game based on Indian epics and history. A pretty little game developed in my country. Good to see the use of video games to make the culture of a country reach a broader audience. The story revolves around Raji, an orphaned circus performer. Her only family is her younger brother, Golu, a story teller.
This game is close to my heart, because it's from my homeland. Love to see the lore of India explored in game form and at the same time reaching a wider audience. I will be back with my next game very soon, TBD though.
The game incorporates Hindu mythology and takes inspiration from history texts such as the Mahabharata and Ramayana. Graphically, the game is designed in the style of Pahari paintings, and the in-game architecture is modeled after that of medieval Rajasthan.
