Durga & Vishu || Raji: An Ancient Epic (Part 1) || Diwali With Grimnir
Grimnir celebrates Diwali with a new game, an indie game based on Indian epics and history. A pretty little game developed in my country. Good to see the use of video games to make the culture of a country reach a broader audience. The story revolves around Raji, an orphaned circus performer. Her only family is her younger brother, Golu, a storyteller.
The game incorporates Hindu mythology and takes inspiration from historical texts such as the Mahabharata and Ramayana. Graphically, the game is designed in the style of Pahari paintings, and the in-game architecture is modelled after that of medieval Rajasthan.
