This was one of the most awe-inspiring, terrifying, and memorable chases of my career. Starting in San Jon NM, I tracked a high-precip supercell southeast toward Grady, noting two tornadoes before dipping south to Farwell. I then was stuck directly underneath the storm's updraft as a small haboob had been generated by inflow winds over dry fields. I finally managed to get out from underneath the storm and head east into Muleshoe, TX to observe strobe lightning.
