0Up next in my Street Fighter Legacy is Street Fighter Alpha 3 (aka Street Fighter Zero 3 in other countries). The 3rd and final installment in the Alpha series, originally released in arcades on June 29, 1998, this game was produced after the Street Fighter 3 series started, released after 2nd Impact but before 3rd Strike. This game introduces the Ism system which players can choose between 3 different Ism’s: A-ism is the standard and it’s based on the previous Alpha games which gives you 3 levels of super meter, X-ism is based on SSF2T in which the players has a 1 level super gauge but the super does more damage than the other Ism’s but you cannot block in the air or perform Alpha Counters, V-ism allows players to perform custom combos similar to what was in Alpha 2. The roster is also expanded bringing everyone from Alpha 1 and 2 back for Alpha 3, several characters were added to Alpha 3 including Cammy (who was in Alpha 2 Gold), E. Honda, Blanka, Balrog (Boxer) and Vega (Claw). New characters were introduced in Alpha 3 including R. Mika, Karin, Cody from Final Fight, Juni and Juli. This game has been rereleased several times and adds more characters and modes to those versions of Alpha 3.
