The locker keys are not required for this!
All your progress caries over to New Game Plus. So don't worry if you miss something, you can get it on your next playthrough or via chapter select after beating the game. Starting a completely new game, however, will delete all your progress.
You can check out the "Archive" in the pause menu to see how many objects you have found. Each one has an individual name so you can figure out what you are missing.
