The Exit 8 is a game that's gotten a bit of cult popularity. It's a simple premise: Go through a linear path, keep track of your environment, and react if something changes...all with a bit of a surreal and sometimes freaky air. It certainly created a buzz online.
I intend to play it today...but I'm not stopping there. I've also managed to dig up 7 different games clearly and obviously inspired by The Exit 8. While it seems like everyone's covered the original, I've not seen a single person check out these clone games... Are they any good? Do they bring something of their own to the table? Or are they lazy cash-ins? It's a genre where we have to pay close attention anyways, so I guess we'll see!
