The Fear is a horror fmv game for the Playstation 2 that only released in Japan. It's the only PS2 game I can think of that's FOUR DISCS! That's a lot of fmv goodness. Thankfully, it's much better than the jp ps2 launch title 0 Story (Love Story) released there. You're a cameraman with a group that's investigating a haunted house with a crew that's more than they seem. Trapped inside the mansion, you have to solve puzzles while unraveling the mysteries of both the premises and the crew around you. I used google translate for this so I only got the main gist of the story but it seems interesting. I think I got the best ending but feel like there is another secret I'm missing as I found a bunch of colored items that I never used.
