And now for something completely different! "The Fight For the Fox Box" was a (strange) TV special that aired on (what else) the Fox Box back in 2003. This network/station/block has since been delegated to just being called "4Kids TV". I personally did not see this when it originally aired, and I have no idea where on Earth I could have possibly obtained the DVD. Somehow though, I have it. And since I have the DVD, and because this (insert your own adjective here) TV special is hardly mentioned anywhere else on the Internet, I thought "Hey! Why don't I share this with people on YouTube so that they can make fun of it?"

So that's the point here - I posted this half-hour special in segments. It was apparently just a bunch of footage edited from the shows, with the only new thing being the dialogue re-dubbed to fit the (strange) plot. It's here so that you can watch it, comment on it, and make fun of the entire premise and concept of... well, you'll see - just watch the first video in the series. (This is just kinda a teaser. Speaking of which...)

You may be wondering why the quality is so crappy in spots. That's because I don't know how to rip the video content of DVDs that qualify as "menu intros". You know what I mean... those short video clips that come with animated DVD menus which lead into the actual menu itself. This video is technically considered a "menu intro" on the disc. Similarly, I can't rip the direct video content (or feed) of the menu itself. I can get a clean audio recording, though, so that's what you hear. Additionally, the better-quality images are scans of the DVD sleeve and disc. The rest of the video content was shot (video and still) on my personal digital camera - the very same one I used to record my first ever uploaded video and the last four SimTunes videos I posted.

I believe this video (and subsequent videos that I will post of this TV special) can be considered fair use (section 107 of U.S. copyright law) because:
1. The purpose is for criticism and comment
2. The use is nonprofit (I don't make any money by doing this)
3. The appearance here on YouTube does not infringe on 4Kids TV (the Fox network)'s ability to make money.
3a. Similarly, this appearance on YouTube does not infringe on the moneymaking abilities of Nintendo, Sega, or any of the other copyright holders and/or production studios where these shows were made, mainly because this DVD is no longer commercially availible nor is this special ever rebroadcast on television. I will repeat this disclaimer for the first video in the series (and subsequent videos, if need be).
