The last year the most hyped up genre has to be the survival genre! After the amazing succes of DayZ publishers quickly tried to release DayZ clone after DayZ clone and some were absolute and total garbage. The Forest is a game that shows some potential though!
Konoa finds himself on an island due to a plane crash. He needs to gather supplies and start hunting in order to survive. There are plenty of animals to be found like birds, lizards, rabbits and fish. And rocks and branches are lying around that can be used to built shelter for the night.
Konoa is however not alone on this island. A dangerous tribe of cannibals is native to these parts and they are all but surprised to see a fresh new visitor. They start by absorbing the situation from afar, but slowly and surely they will approach closer and closer to Konoa to rip a nice big chunk of flesh out of him.
