The Future Of British Cinema?
Britain used to have a vibrant film industry but for a variety of reasons it dwindled and declined until it's now a mere shadow of what it used to be. These days, if it wasn't for the English language we'd run the risk of beign classified as "World Cinema" filled with "foreign films".
So how did we get to this point? What part does Hollywood have to play in this decline, and is the international industry a victim of cultural colonialism (since they all pick a name ending in "ollywood")?
