Yes, it's another atGames/Firecore emulation based Sega Genesis/Mega Drive clone. This one is portable like the GenMobile and RetroGen except instead of taking real cartridges this one has an SD slot to add your own ROMs. I believe it came out just shortly after the other two but was only distributed in Europe for the first year. Stoneagegamer is the first American distributor I've seen so I picked one up.

Since I have a GenMobile I'll compare it directly to that. It has a slightly bigger screen but I noticed it's also brighter and has a better viewing angle. Overall, it's a much better looking screen. It's also more comfortable to hold, the D-Pad and action buttons are much smoother and the system overall is much more slim since there's no cartridge slot. Like the GenMobile it has 20 built in official Sega games, it has AV cables to hook up to a TV and it has a built in rechargeable battery. Unfortunately, it also has the same "out of key" sound that most of these Genesis emulation clones have.

This one gets my thumbs up. Mainly because it's more comfortable to play on and the larger screen is better too. Otherwise it's everything you should expect from these atGames/Firecore portables. It's just a shame this one didn't get mass distributed in North America at the same time as the other two because despite the more comfortable controls and bigger screen, it's about the same price as the GenMobile too!

Oh well, I guess there's always something better around the corner!
