After 5 years in the making and over a year waiting for the paid game to get finished, produced and shipped... My copy of Pier Solar arrives today.

Many had doubts that the game would ever be finished. Some even thought it might be a scam. But I knew better, and waited patiently. Most followers knew the developers were just taking their time to perfect the game before putting it out. Language translations took up a large bulk of the final development time and as a result Japanese was dropped as an option in the game. Not an issue for me but I do believe refunds were given to anyone who wanted to cancel their order because of this.

Pier Solar is a brand new RPG for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. The game consists of a 64 Megabit cartridge (by far the largest Genesis cart based game ever produced) and an extra CD containing an enhanced version of the games soundtrack along with some extra material for your PC and MAC. You don't require a SegaCD/MegaCD to play the game but if you have one attached the game will detect the CD and play the enhanced music. The packaging is really well done right down to the full color manual.

Although I'm not a fan of RPG games I will give this game a try. I'm hoping I can get into this one as there are a few I've been able to play in the past (inc FFII on the SNES)

Since I'm not an RPG player I do not plan on reviewing this game but I encourage anyone interested to search YouTube for any reviews. I'm sure there will be some good game reviews of this one eventually.
