The original 8 mile road was actually KERN. Which was one of the wealthy families of the area long ago with lots of land for their farm. There was a lot of farms here and it was nothing but farms.
It's amazing how many houses that were on 8 mile or 9 mile, They actually lifted off the ground and relocated and some properties were moved and then 50 years after that moved back to where they were originally.

Right now I am with contact with the former previous mayors that are still alive and part of the historical society.

I learned today that mayors and a history that they are involved with can take that history home with them and actually it can disappear if they keep it in their private library.

So I'm going to get to visit these mayors and get real history. They are allowing me access to the private libraries which is fascinating to me.

Because whatever I learn I can put in my songs and it will be history that I don't think anyone necessarily has ever heard Or really cares about. Especially the stories that I will get from the private collections.

I have maps as far back right now as 1852. I need to get before that though.
I need to get before the supposed what I hear about a lot is the great reset of 1850.
A time when books were erased and the real history was left behind.
I feel like we are going through a time like that exactly right now what once was is absolutely no more and whoever grew up one way has to now finish their life another way because you can't be how you were.
You might have smoked cigarettes for half your life but now for the rest of your life you're going to be looked at as a disgusting person.
But, not that long ago smoking was rich, sexy and powerful.
