When Psyonix needed a way to handle the increasing complexity of Rocket League Championship Series broadcasts, it switched to a real-time approach to produce motion graphics and animations.

What started out as a motion graphics package to quickly swap in animations for live events on the fly became a full virtual environment that serves as a launching point to reimagine what a sports broadcast might look like for a digital-first audience. Meet the Hype Chamber.

Now available to download as a sample, this project illustrates how to design, develop, and play out numerous animation elements for an esports show using advanced Blueprint and data table workflows. It includes 10 motion graphics animations that have been designed to be played out live or as pre-rendered content.

The sample also illustrates how to build a highly customizable graphic package that enables artists to switch 3D models, textures, materials, and lighting all driven by a single Blueprint controller. Dive into the Hype Chamber today and see how real-world production for esports is driven.
