Feels good to finally upload again. I'm still slowing production for my vertigo, but the next video won't be nearly this ambitious, and will therefore get out much faster. Thanks for bearing with me.

Fumito Ueda's The Last Guardian pulled the *very* hard trick of getting me to cry purely at the literal events of a work of fiction, whereas it's usually the subtext that gets to me. By the end of the game, Trico felt almost as real to me as any other animal I've dealt with in my life, and the game did an incredibly job at taking advantage of that bond to deliver some incredibly powerful moments.

This video also serves as a bit of a break from my usual pretentiousness, as this is mostly a surface level analysis. I don't even mention postmodernism or metanarratives once!

I borrowed a little bit of Ico footage from YouTuber Games from Mars, Thanks!
