Developed by Naughty Dog, the first part of The Last of Us saga was released for the PS3 back in November of 2013. It told the story of Joel, whose goal was to find a way to smuggle Ellie out of a quarantine zone. It was known for its dramatic, gut-wrenching scenes, and it’s no surprise that the sequel will likey contain more of the same.
The sequel will take place five years after the original game. Ellie is now a young adult who will encounter a mysterious cult while living a relatively normal life in a new setting.
Although the series is known for its strong single-player narrative, the game will likey to have an multiplayer aspect to it. According to a job listing from Naughty Dog, the developer is looking for a Multiplayer Server Programmer that “loves constructing a scalable, stable, and secure ecosystem of services for players to enjoy.” The ad also mentioned rewarding players further customization options for their characters, which could possibly be a part of the multiplayer experience
