You will already be in possession of these two artifacts when you start the game.

Once you get to the rations line, take a right.
Optional Conversation 1: To the right, you will see a couple by some newspaper stands. Go up to them to initiate an optional conversation.
Keep moving forward to the checkpoint. As Tess says, "so much for the easy route." Heal up with the health kit that you are given, then follow Tess into the building.
Walk along the hallway until you reach a room in the back. Press triangle to interact with the Entertainment Center, then pull it to the right. This allows you to access the tunnel. Drop down and continue forward following Tess.
