Breathing fresh air after escaping the spooky sewers in 'The Last of Us Part 1' Suburbs chapter felt like a victory, but we were far from safe. Ignoring the 'Do Not Enter' sign (which was on the other side, of course!), Joel, Ellie, Henry, and Sam braved the eerie tunnels to resurface into daylight. Little did we know, our ordeal was far from over.
Our ammo count? Still tragically low. The next mission? Scour the nearby houses in the suburbs for any remaining ammo, with the ultimate goal of reaching the Tower. Through every creaking door, my heart pounded in fear of a lurking Clicker jumping out for a scary surprise.
Just when we thought things might be going smoothly, a bullet whizzed past us. Our old friends, the Hunters, had returned, led by a sniper perched high in a building. There was no way to face him head-on. Stealthily, I picked off several Hunters, inching closer to the main sniper. When he finally went down, I took over his position and became the sniper!
The fun began when I got my hands on the sniper rifle in 'The Last of Us Part 1' - picking off Hunters, even taking down a tank! But then, the real chaos ensued. Infected and Clickers surged from all directions. I took as many as I could, but there were too many. The Infected got hold of Sam and Henry, and I managed to save them in the nick of time.
With no other choice, we ran. That night, as we caught our breaths in a safe building, the camera focused on Sam with a gnarly bite on his leg. A chilling dread set in.
Morning came, and with it, tragedy struck. Sam lunged at Ellie, driven by the infection. As I moved to protect her, Henry intervened, pulling the trigger on his own brother. The shock took a toll on him, and he took his own life moments later.
In this gameplay of 'The Last of Us Part 1', we reacted to Henry's death, an unexpected turn of events that left us reeling. It seemed like we were finally finding our rhythm, but one small scrape from the Infected changed everything.
