How to beat the Rat King on Survivor difficulty:
Take your shots and run away, reload, take more shots and repeat. Avoid staying too close to the Rat King as it will try to charge and grab you. Use any weapons you have from the flamethrower to normal guns and pipe bombs! There is ammunition and supplies scattered around the level, so try to get those if you can. Don't focus on the smaller monster at all, just avoid it because you will have to fight it later anyway.
