Combat in The Last Story works well for sure, but if you want to take it to the next level, here you can find a few tips to make it flow even better!

EDIT: Guarding attacks in New Game Plus reduces damage by 1/8 of its original value (87.5% reduction) making it TWICE as effective. Yeah, dodging sucks XD.
