Turtle Rock to Color Dungeon

After a boxing match with the current champ, Link finds the Magic Rod. Using it allowed him to make fireballs hot enough to melt the ice in the passageways so he could find the Nightmare Key.

After a heated battle with Hot Head, he finds the last instrument in the chamber ahead. While preparing to head for the egg, he finds a book in the library that tells of a world of color beneath the graveyard...it might be worth checking if it will help him out.
